Metabolism and Overweight
Commonly associated with being overweight, your metabolism is much more than the cause of this problem, try to understand that it is without going into detail the complex physiological and medical terminology.
Metabolism is a set of processes occurring within every cell of every body to sustain life, refers to all physical and chemical processes in the body that produce and use energy, such as digesting food and nutrients, eliminating waste through urine and feces, respiration, blood circulation and temperature regulation.

Overweight and metabolic syndrome

What is metabolic syndrome?

However it is much more than that, a collection of various diseases or risk factors in an individual that increase the chances of cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
The cause of the metabolic syndrome is unknown, their pathophysiology is extremely complex and only partly known. Most patients have a significantly higher age, are obese, sedentary, and have some degree of insulin resistance. The most important factors are, in order: age, genetics, sedentary lifestyle and overconsumption of calories.
Prevent metabolic syndrome
Various strategies have been proposed to prevent the occurrence of metabolic syndrome, these include establishing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through proper diet, practice of regular exercise, achieve ideal weight and, obviously, the abandonment of smoking.
